How to Book a Session?
I am happy that you decided to work with me and you are ready to book your session. You can complete the contact form and we will be ready to move forward. We require a $250 deposit in advance to hold your date. The remainder is due at the beginning of the session. Looking forward to working with you.
What to Wear?
I highly encourage you to wear solid, and neutral colors for your session. Stay away from patterns, animal prints, and stripes because they can draw attention away from your face. Stay away from bright or neon colors because they can reflect those colors on your face.
What will my Sessions be like?
The sessions are laid-back and fun. I want you to feel comfortable and at ease during our session. It will shine through in the photos.
When do I receive my photos?
Photos will be emailed to you within two weeks.
How long does a session last?
All other regular sessions last 60 minutes, and a newborn session lasts 90 minutes. There is a $30 travel fee for any locations more than 10 miles outside of Washington, DC.
When should we schedule newborn photos?
It's best to reach out during pregnancy so we can reserve a tentative timeframe around your due date.
What if my child won’t sit still?
That's okay! Movement is part of childhood. We'll use games, prompts, interaction, and natural movement to keep the session relaxed.
What if my baby is fussy?
That's completely normal. We'll take breaks whenever your baby needs them and work at a comfortable pace.
Do I need to know how to pose?
Not at all. I'll guide you throughout the session while keeping everything natural.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We'll communicate ahead of your session and determine the best plan based on the weather and location.
Choosing a location?
Sessions can take place throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. We can choose a location based on the season, lighting, your style, and the kind of photographs you're envisioning. Not sure where to go? I'll help you choose.
